Custom-made! Pencil Portraits!

I almost forgot to tell you about these! If you send me your pic of choice - please, let it be a high-quality (300 dpi or more), digital photo - I can draw you a keepsake, an heirloom, something to make your heart happy. Remember, I do not change the pose of the subject, so please do not send me a photo looking to the side and expect me to draw a frontal pose! If I do not know the person, I can only draw what you give me to work with.

Please send me your favorite person by email - well, probably a picture of your favorite person, and don't feel bad if it's you yourself! If you go to my Etsy shop, you can see the prices for different types of pictures. Email me at keepsakemaker777@gmail.com, and we can discuss your preferences.

I am showing you a little bit of my work:

These were all done for custom orders. Email me!

Choppy Seas

I can sit and watch the waves for hours! When I was a kid, I used to put a big seashell over my ear, because I could hear the sea. Have you ever done that before? I believe so!

I am fascinated by the play of colors and the way it changes almost by the minute. In Choppy Seas, I tried to capture the restlessness of the ocean....maybe because the clouds were predicting a storm approaching?

This painting is available for sale at my shop on Etsy, where you can also view more paintings. Thank you for visiting!

Purple Paradise

I love purple and blues in all of its hues. In Purple Paradise, I played with those cool, peaceful colors. It is painted in oil on a 18 x 24-inch, double-primed, pre-stretched canvas (frame not included). If you have a purple room in your home, this is the one for you!

Mountain Through The Window

Oh, I so love mountains! Mountains that remind me of the Drakensberg Mountain Range in South Africa, where it splits the land with Kwa-Zulu Natal on the one side and the Free State on the other. Pine tree plantations on the foothills lie lazily basking in the morning sun, still holding on to the fogginess that was part of the previous night. And right in front of me the trout is playing in the icy stream.

Before I get totally carried away by memories, let's talk. You can click on Mountain Through The Window or simply go to www.etsy.com/shop/KeepsakeMaker where you will find not only this oil painting, but also a few other ones! Thanks for visiting!

Sunset On The Brook

The birds are finding their perch for the night, while the little four-legged creatures hide in the bushes along the stream. Soon, only the gentle murmur of the water is heard, and the sun strokes with one last violet finger across the velvet sky. Sunset On The Brook is that place, where daytime noises subside, and peace sets in.

Sundown

I grew up on a farm in South Africa where the sunset looked just like the one in Sundown, and the golden fingers of the afternoon brightly touched one mountain while leaving the other one in complete darkness. The colors kept changing until total darkness set in, and the night took over.

This oil painting is done on 18 x 24 double-primed, pre-stretched canvas (frame not included). Go to www.etsy.com/shop/KeepsakeMaker or click on the name of the painting to make this one your own.

Peaceful Waters

There is nothing like getting out of the rat race and just stare for an hour or so. The ideal place would be beside a slow-running stream, where the air is pure and phones cannot reach you. That is not always possible, as we all know. Hang Peaceful Waters in your favorite room and create for yourself that place of rest.

This painting is done on 18 x 24 double-primed, pre-stretched canvas. The frame is not included. Go to KeepsakeMaker's store on Etsy to put it in your shopping cart.
